TOPPENISH, Wash. (AP) – A two-vehicle crash killed three people and seriously injured two others on U.S. Highway 97 in central Washington. Washington State Patrol tells the Yakima Herald that a van and semitrailer collided at about 5:50 a.m. Friday about 19 miles south of Toppenish. Authorities say 54-year-old Mario Gil-Hernandez of Sacramento, California, lost control of the van and crossed into oncoming traffic.
