Salary:  $47,964 – $62,582 Annual + Benefits (10 Salary Step Range)

This employee generally starts at the first step of the salary range and moves to step two of the range upon the successful completion of a six (6) month probation period and is eligible for a step increase each year thereafter through step ten (10).  Progression of steps eleven (11) through twenty (20) is achieved based on a Pay-For-Performance program.

Purpose of the Position:

This professional accountant position works under general supervision, reports to the Senior Accountant, and may receive direction from the Chief Operating Officer or Executive Director.  The accountant must be proficient and able to perform a variety of financial duties to include manage accounts receivable and payable, prepare and post entries to the general ledger, post accounts expenditures specific to grants, prepare year-end accruals, and communicate key information to decision makers and those responsible for complying with established effective finance principles.
