WASHINGTON – A federal transportation board is recommending that all states equip new school buses with seat belts. The National Transportation Safety Board approved the seat belt recommendation Tuesday in Washington, D.C. The board started discussions about a recommendation back in 2016 after deadly school bus crashes in Tennessee and Baltimore.
