GLEN CARBON, Ill. – More than 200 gravestones were vandalized over the weekend in an Illinois cemetery where more than 1400 veterans are buried. Police in Glen Carbon are investigating the vandalism as organizers of a Memorial Day observance scrambled to clean up. Local veterans, military servicemen, and volunteers placed flags at the cemetery to honor veterans.
