The world’s newest massive cargo plane took to the skies Thursday for the first time. It looks like a whale that can fly, so its manufacturer named it Beluga XL. The plane’s design was selected in a poll by 20,000 people. It’s the latest version of a super transporter about 20 feet longer and 3 feet wider than its predecessor, making it one of the largest aircraft in the world. The plane circled the skies over Southwest France on its maiden flight.
